I woke up this morning hoping everything was a dream, but it was actually a real life night mare!

Our beautiful Isabella came to us for protection in May 2014 after her Father was shot and then later disappeared. She was such a beautiful gentle giant and had put her trust in us to protect her. I remember looking in to her eyes and telling her that she was going to be ok and that we would do anything to look after her and make sure she was safe.
She held eye contact with me and I could see in her eyes that she knew what we were trying to do for her.

Despite the fact that she stayed at night within a secure area with no less than 30 people around her, she was still killed by these so called ‘Professionals’ but quite frankly, they are no more than COWARDS!
These cowards had the cheek to come in to our home and take a member of our FAMILY from right under our noses and in such a horrific and brutal way on Monday 8th September 2014, just before her 6th Birthday!

What are we supposed to do?
How are we supposed to protect, help and save these beautiful animals?
Is there nothing we can do to protect these magnificent animals when the world is full of greedy selfless people that will do absolutely anything to line their pockets with gold?

Poor Isabella knew she was in trouble and there was absolutely nothing she or anyone else could do to save her! This is what I find totally heart breaking!
Maybe if you could take a moment to sit and think how you would feel if your family or loved ones were in danger and you couldn’t do ANYTHING to protect them despite being only meters from them in your own home.

We need to do something and we need to do it now! If we don’t there will be nothing left in the world for us to enjoy. Ask yourselves this question….. Do you want your children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to only see a Rhino in a photo or a museum or would you like them to appreciate the real beauty of them living?

I have never felt so emotionally battered in my life and when I think I have no more tears left in me, more come flooding out.

Now it is time to contain my emotions and put my right head on so that we can move forward and work on how we can start making a difference in protecting every animal that needs our help.

These animals are brutally killed and have half their faces hacked off just so that people can buy so called medicines for various reasons including, to have an erection! But in reality, these beautiful animals are killed for nothing because these so called medicines don’t work, it’s the chemical compounds added to it such as Viagra and Cocaine.

I don’t want our beautiful Isabella to have died for nothing! The Rhino horn is the same matter as our finger & toe nails, and also our hair. Keratin!

With all these so called ‘Save the Rhino’ campaigns around the world, where actually is the help and where are the funds going to? We participated in a Run4Rhinos walk on Saturday 6th September and less than 48hrs after doing this our beautiful Isabella was brutally murdered and then slaughtered for her horn. Where was the help SHE needed to be protected?

It’s time for a new campaign to start!
A campaign where 100% of funds raised and any help given actually do go to the protection of any animal that need our help.
I want to start this campaign by flooding the Chinese and Vietnamese governments with our finger and toe nail clippings and hair trimmings and urge everyone around the world to do the same. Please help us and start sending all your nail clippings and hair to all the Chinese and Vietnamese Governments and Embassy’s around the world. Maybe even our own Governments need to have this point made to them so that they get out of bed with these Eastern Countries and start helping us with this war against poaching.
